Joseph Scovil papers, 1798-1845.

Contains three military commissions of Joseph Scovil, Jr. (1798, 1800 and 1804) together with a pedler's license for one year (1826) for Hopkins Scovil for work in New Jersey and an authorization for Joseph H. Scovill, constable of Harwinton, Conn., to collect taxes from the inhabitants of Harwinton (1845).
